From the reviews
I’ve been taking my son here for little over 6 months, we have met professor Chris in previous competitions and loveeeeee how great he is with the kids, this attracted us to trust him with our son and his cross training. Facility it’s clean and specious. Panda is a family.
Chris has welcomed our kids with open arms even though our kids train at a different academy since we live so far away. He is an excellent coach and great with the kids. He is very passionate about what he does and it shows. I love his intensity.
We have been joining Professor Chris and his team at Panda 2-3 times per week since they opened to supplement our 2 daughters training. Not only has the instruction been top notch, the level of competition is just as elite.
Professor Chris has been instructing my 10-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son for the past year and a half, and the impact he’s had on them is truly remarkable. From day one, he has created a safe, supportive, and motivating environment where my kids feel seen, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
Your first BJJ class at Panda Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
