“BJJ will always be tough and demand a lot from your body, but the training was tuned for folks to get more one-on-one time with a higher belt and less risk.”
“They are not just teaching self defense; they are offering a gift of self discovery, growth, and confidence.”

From the reviews
My three children have learned so much about self control, self regulation, and critical thinking from these wonderful coaches. They are not just teaching self defense; they are offering a gift of self discovery, growth, and confidence.
I have watched this young man artfully craft this business idea from a genuine place of servitude. His whole heart is in helping these young ones blaze their own trails with confidence. You will be thrilled at the care your child will get in this class. -Coach Brentli's Mom
I love having my son in these classes, he’s progressed so much and enjoys doing it a lot. The instructor is great as well, he’s very good with kids. I’m glad we started taking our son here and can’t wait to see how he progresses.
Coach Brenti Cook gave me private lessons when I was getting started in BJJ. I had taken a few classes at a couple of different schools before deciding to pursue these lessons, and I’m super lucky i did.
Your first BJJ class at Virtue Jiu Jitsu
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
