From the reviews
100% the best Gym I have ever trained at! I have been rolling here for almost 8 months and it feels like everyone is just one big family! John is an amazing instructor and can help you through any move and is really supportive, and Seth is awesome with analogies that really put techniques into perspective.
Absolutely awesome environment to train in; John and Seth are 2 extremely skilled instructors and truly care for each and every one of their students. The difference between this gym and others I have visited is night and day; from day one it feels like you aren’t just joining a gym, you are becoming part of a family.
I moved to the area in 2019 and began my search for another BJJ Academy after leaving Florida. It took me over a year to find Rocket City Revolution BJJ. The wait has been worth it! Come train with the Rocket City Revolution BJJ Family.
RCRBJJ is the place to train if you want to get good. John is an absolute wizard at both the practice and the teaching of BJJ. The team is the best group of people I've ever had the privilege to spend time with. Very welcoming atmosphere and the group really does feel like a family.
Your first BJJ class at Rocket City Revolution Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
