From the reviews
Coach Cali has been coaching me for 2 years and it has been amazing. He does a great job helping you understand the concept of the why and how to use tae kwon do and mma. 4x a week Monday-Thursday 4:00-5:00 Ages 4-7 kids class, 5:00-6:00 adult/teen class.
Great atmosphere, great prices, you can get a really good experience there! You and your kids will actually learn something while you're there. It's very physical, and your kids will get very good discipline. You won't regret signing them up!
Good school for introducing children to ji jitsu, boxing and taekwando. Coach is very patient and understanding with the children.
Our family has been a part of the new legacy martial arts academy for several years now and we love it. We have been a part of both adult and child programs. The training can be very intense and they work very hard it pays off and really shows when we compete.
Your first BJJ class at New Legacy Martial Arts Academy
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
