Nova Geracao is a phenomenal place to come and learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Master Toco is a 5th degree black belt under Master Carlson Gracie Senior himself! You could not ask for a better teacher. He embodies the spirit of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and humbly passes on his knowledge to his students.
Great environment and facilities. I took my son to other places, but the warm welcome, dedication and professionalism showed by Master Toco is no match. He is definitely great with children and has years of martial arts training - my son really enjoys coming every week and he is learning about discipline.
I have been training here since February 2019. Since that time, I've lost 50 pounds, lowered my cholesterol/BP, placed at IBJJF competition, and best of all joined a wonderful family of jiu jitsu practitioners who I am pleased to call my friends.
The best place to learn jiu jitsu in the area. Master Toco is direct lineage from Carlson Gracie. You can't get closer to training with a historical figure in South Florida. Love his great energy and positivity. Brazilian jiujitsu is for everyone, no matter your age and fitness level.

What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
