From the reviews

I’m extremely happy with Sensei Jimmy and everything he’s taught my son since he started in October 2021. He’s AMAZING with kids! It’s clear he knows what he’s doing. I feel my son is always appropriately matched when paired up to spar.

From the moment you walk in, it truly feels like a family. We are extremely happy with how great and well-organized the academy is. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which makes every visit a pleasant experience for our family.

★★★★★ — Vanessa, Feb 2026

Millenium is the best! I don’t mean that lightly. We were looking for a real dojo, one with heart and relevancy. The teachers are very involved in the martial arts world and still compete. They teach hard work and earning your ranks here. The staff is the best and we love bringing our kids for class.

★★★★★ — Denise, Dec 2023

Millennium has been my home since I was 6 years old. So grateful for my martial arts family that has helped me become the person I am today. Best martial arts school to help your children be disciplined and learn self defense. 13 years later and we continue to instill the same values in each and every student. 💪🏼💎

Your first BJJ class at Millennium Martial Arts Academy

Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

BJJ is a contact sport. Ease in, tap early and often, listen to your coaches, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
