From the reviews
I've tried a lot of different martial arts dojo's in the past. None of them were really a good fit for me. The atmosphere in those places was just too suffocating and unwelcoming. But coming to WOLF I immediately felt a difference. I was really nervous at first. But the instructors made me feel welcomed.
Karen and Victor are amazing! My son attends the tot class and he is learning so much! To add to that- he has mobility delays from a birth disorder, and since starting martial arts he is breaking barriers!
I am so grateful to have found such a family oriented dojo!! Karen and Victor have done an incredible job providing such a fun atmosphere for my “tot” in their Tot and Me class where she can work on her motor skills and have fun while learning introductory martial arts skills!
I'm thrilled to give WOLF Martial Arts a 5-star review! My young son and daughter have been attending classes for 2 months, and they absolutely love it. The instructors are fantastic, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for learning martial arts.
Your first BJJ class at WOLF Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
