From the reviews
I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu here in October of 2019, and it’s been an amazing ride. The gym is extremely welcoming, open to all types of experience, and the atmosphere both pushes you to better yourself and your jiu jitsu.
5 stars. 5 stars is what I'm gonna give the Revolution Academy. Why? Because Anthony, "the owner", is my brother in-law. Just kidding. Well he is my brother in-law, but that is definitely NOT the reason I give this place 5 stars. I'm not gonna put my name out there and say this place is awesome if it's really not.
My home away from home. Please, do yourself a favor, just try it !!! Show up for an hour and see how amazing this place is, end up staying forever lol. It's a blessing to be apart of this family, not only because we learn amazing jiu jitsu from all of the instructors, but because it's truly like a family. Oh...
great gym - instructors have a great teaching style could not recommend these guys enough!
Your first BJJ class at Revolution Academy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
