After years of my 9 year old daughter asking to please put her in Martial Arts, I stumbled across Premier and life as we know it has changed. She's more disciplined, better behaved, and has become a self starter. The staff/instructors have great demeanors and tons of patience. Love it here! Definitely recommend 🙂
I enrolled my son almost a year ago so he could excerciseon a safe and controlled environment while getting the discipline he as any toddler lacks of, the instructors are wonderful beyond words, they are patient, kind and caring my kid loves it there and his behavior has change so much, this place does wonders.
I enrolled my children (8 and 10) into martial arts for different reasons. I wanted to encourage confidence in one and discipline in the other. After three months I can say so far so good. The schools and instructors strongly emphasize good behavior, responsibility, and treating others with respect.
Very happy here! The instructors are amazing. My 5 year old daughter is learning so fast. Her confidence and focus has improved, and they also teach respect toward others so it’s a win for all. There is a great group of kids that attend here so my daughter has also made friends. Just a positive experience all around!
Your first BJJ class at Premier Martial Arts Plantation
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
