From the reviews
Highly recommend. Mr. Sam and Mr. Davis definitely takes an interest in their students and keeps them on task and disciplined. Not only do they teach them self defense, they teach them how to be confident and have respect for themselves and others. I really have noticed a change in my child since joining their classes.
My son actually started when they first opened a few years ago and became black belt this year! 🎉🥳🎊. The way his confidence, discipline and love for the sport has increased is phenomenal. The team is awesome and really love what they do and the children. A 10 out of 10 recommend.
My children love martial arts. Their teacher/trainer/coach is very attentive. He is concerned about academics as well as appropriate stance and combinations.
I'm absolutely blown away by the instructors at Premier Martial Arts ! They're not just teaching karate, they're teaching life skills and confidence to the kids. Kane loves going to class and has learned so much. The instructors are super supportive, patient, and make the classes super fun. Highly recommend!
Your first BJJ class at Premier Martial Arts Garner
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
