From the reviews
My kids have been attending MSA for more than 2 years. Their after school program and summer camp are amazing. We noticed a remarkable positive difference on our kids, not only in their martial art’s skills but on their confidence and discipline that being at MSA has built on them. MSA is like our second family.
Simon and Mike are some of the best coaches I have had over the years I been going to MSA on and off for the past decade and can confidently tell you if you want to improve and if you or your kids have an interest in jiu jitsu this is the perfect gym to train at.
We absolutely love this jiu-jitsu gym! The leadership here is truly top-notch — the coaches are patient, skilled, and genuinely invested in the kids’ growth both on and off the mats. The location is super convenient, and the pricing is very fair compared to other gyms we looked at.
We absolutely love Master Simon and Coach Mike at MSA! Both of our boys have grown so much in skill, discipline, and confidence through their Taekwondo training. Our oldest recently earned his black belt after years of dedication... starting when he was just five!
Your first BJJ class at MSA Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
