My fiancé and I have 4 kids together. Boy and girls. Not enough time in day to take kids to individual sports. A one stop shop for all kids and ages. Doesn’t break the bank and kids learning something they can use the rest of their life. They offer 2 free classes to try your kids out.
My son and I was looking for a jiujitsu school, and with a recommendation from a friend …we found our new home. Jiujitsu Method's, is nothing but awesome with all our growth in this sport, would have never have thought i could do the stuff i know now because of Rene and the Team at Methods Rene and the rest of the…
Informal gym (this is a good sign, in my opinion) with modern jiu jitsu technique. Students are technical and Rene appears to spend hours on the mat drilling with them which is always a good sign. Rene is an accomplished competitor and is definitely legit.
If you are in this area you should go here. The owner is a high level black belt competitor. He is a great teacher who cares about helping others grow in Jiu jitsu. He is honest, selfless and hard working. Whether you are starting out or a higher belt, this will be an amazing place to learn, grow and make friends.
Your first BJJ class at Jiu-Jitsu Methods
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
