From the reviews
I definitely recommend this school! I started after a scary situation this past summer that left me feeling helpless to protect my self and my kids. Never wanting to feel that way again my husband encouraged me to come to class and learn. The skills that Sensei Eric imparts are powerful and practical.
I have been training at this school for over two years now, and I have my junior high-aged son enrolled as well. Although I am currently not training, I did under the guidance of Sensei Eric Tollett for a little shy of a year. Not only did I find integrity, discipline, and skills I need to successfully defend myself, I found a second family within the class. As soon as I can I will be back without hesitation to train.
Having a teacher that can teach and has a resume that shows he’s been there as a bouncer, security and in the competitive environment, is a rare find. Knowing that Sensei Eric won’t teach any useless technique for technique sake, but has actually used what you are learning is what makes this school a must for any…
Your first BJJ class at Integrity Kombative Arts
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
