From the reviews
Great group to train with. Its very welcoming and feels like a family. Everyone is kinda joking and no meat head vibe which is awesome. Come in with a smile, let off some aggression, leave with a smile. Love the place and the atmosphere. Kelly Leo has a big heart for martial arts and his students and it shows.
Summer of 2017, I started taking the Cardio Kickboxing class to get moving and reconnect with my martial arts practice from childhood. Over the last few months, I trained with the owner, Kelly Leo, who worked on my boxing/kickboxing technique while also continuing a workout routine. I went from 205lbs to 184lbs.
Came for the workout (which is always great), left with a whole new set of awesome friends. Such a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for a total kickboxing newbie like myself when I first started taking classes.
If you’re looking for an effective workout in a carefree and fun environment with instructors that actually take the time to teach you proper technique, Full Throttle Fitness is the place for you and your friends! One of my favorite discoveries in a Flowery Branch!
Your first BJJ class at Full Throttle Fitness
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
