From the reviews
Awesome place to start or continue with your BJJ training. Been coming here for the last two months and the experience has been phenomenal. The dedication to the art from the coaches is always above and beyond. Coach Devin and Ashley will work with you regardless of what your goals are.
Despite being the new kids on the block, Devin and Ashley are the best instructors you can ask for! You can feel the passion and enthusiasm they have for Jiujitsu every time you step into the place. Definitely recommend giving the place a try!
I wanted to share my experience training with Devin & Ashley back in October at a different location. I'm so thrilled to see that they've opened their own school now! These two are amazing instructors for both kids and adults. They're super knowledgeable, patient, and really take the time to understand their students.
Coach Devin and coach Ashley are phenomenal instructors. They have everything you would want from a BJJ school. Their style of teaching is second to none. My daughter Destiny has been with them for about 2 years now.
Your first BJJ class at DNA Jiu Jitsu
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
