JM and I go way back. I remember when he was coming up on the scene. He impressed me so much that I brought him to Las Vegas to teach a seminar. JM has an incredible Jiu Jitsu mind. He is able to reach back into his competition background and and articulate the whys of Jiu Jitsu.
I've trained with JM for about two years while getting a blue belt at 10p Bethlehem. He was one of the guys I connected with right away. He was a big part of 10p Bethlehem's success. He can help you become stronger and more confident for sure.
I have learned so much in the past few months of training. Awesome place, You can train twice a day 7 days a week if you wanted to. Or if you want to take a class every Monday night you can do that aswell. Clean friendly and safe, everyone just wants to get better.
Fun, relaxed atmosphere, and tough competitive rolls. Coach JM really knows his stuff and is a great teacher, even his beginner students a few months in show great skill.
Your first BJJ class at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Nazareth
Nervous about walking into a BJJ gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic positions and escapes with a partner — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many gyms lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi (or a rashguard and shorts for no-gi) and a mouthguard. Live rolling eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
