What local members say

I’ve been training jiu jitsu for 11 years at different gyms around NYC. For most of those 11 years I’ve been looking for a gym with the right vibe, solid training and patient instructors, not to mention a location that doesn’t require two trains and a bus to reach.

I am currently a student at Ronin athletics in Midtown. I joined the school to participate in the all women’s self defense program created by the Gracie Family, "Women Empowered.

Brother, this jiu-jitsu class… good, but too much drama. Coach say “relax,” but how I relax when small guy try choke me like he want inheritance? I tell him, “Brother, this only training,” but he squeeze like I owe him money.Rolling session? Everybody think they lion. Nobody want to tap.
